Poland: Klopsy

Yes, another post on Poland. Accept it. Love it.
Klopsy just means a Polish meatball. This is how my parents made them with a few additions to spice them up.

What you'll need:

1 - 1 1/4 pounds ground beef (I substituted ground turkey)
2 slices oldish bread or 1 hard roll
1/3 cup milk
1 egg
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper

1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon flour
Fresh chives

Step 1: Soak bread in milk in a large mixing bowl. Break bread apart into small very small pieces with your hands.
Step 2: Add egg, onion, ground meat, salt and pepper and mix thoroughly with hands.
Step 3: Form into 6 roundish patties.
Step 4: Brown on both sides in a non-stick pan.
Step 5: Add 1/3 cup water and reduce heat. Cover and steam until water has evaporated. Remove from pan.
Step 8: Add sour cream and flour to pan. Stir well, scraping up browned bits as you go.
Step 8: Spoon sour cream mixture over patties and top with fresh chives.

Just as good as I remember!
